I make short videos of my painting process for social media. I thought I might share one or two with you. Every time I start a painting, I mix colors continuously from beginning to end. In these short "reels" I have already mixed most of the colors other than white. White is the trickiest of the colors. I never use "straight out of the tube" colors—especially white. Each painting has a unique white. Here the over-all palette is cool, so I choose warm whites to complement the cool colors. You may not know this, but my whites are made of every color in the palette, plus white.
Flow 6, oil, wax, on panel, 24 x 24, $1800
