In 2021 you helped support other artists with my successful fundraiser during the month of April.
April is the month I celebrate my birthday by offering you 10% off a select group of paintings. For 2022, in the spirit of Artists Helping Artists, I want to pay it forward again to a non-profit that is near to my heart - Aurora Studios and Gallery.
This year I will match your discount and give 10% of all sales to Aurora to help them to continue to mentor, recoup from 2020, and help provide a safe environment for making art.
I have a close connection to Aurora Studios. My mother suffered with mental illness and loved to paint. When I met Lori Greenberg, I was excited to hear of a group who focused on art and worked with artists who had many of the same challenges my mother had throughout her life. I have been able to help through teaching in the program, volunteering at some of the exhibits, and letting others know about Aurora Studio.
About Aurora Studio & Gallery
Aurora Studio & Gallery is a supportive art space located in Asheville, North Carolina. The studio offers weekly workshops for artists who have experienced trauma due to mental health needs, homelessness or addiction. Working with Visiting Artists from Western North Carolina, Aurora Studio provides artists with the space and art supplies to explore their personal creativity, which they could not otherwise obtain or afford. The integrative structure and community support provided by Aurora Studio & Gallery enables artists to heal, grow and thrive.
Watch out for an email from me on April 3 with a link to a special selection of my paintings and a 10% off coupon. I hope you will join me in helping to support Aurora Studios.
